Private Pay
Benefits of private pay:
No mental health diagnosis is given to an insurance company;
No third party has access to your records except under some specific circumstances as outlined in my informed consent;
You are in charge of your treatment in terms of length, depth, and subject matter;
Sessions are confidential and private.
I work with some insurance companies listed here, and it is your choice whether or not you want to use your benefits. Neither you nor I have control over what happens to any mental health diagnosis on file with insurance companies. Insurance company administrators, who are not necessarily experienced clinicians, may review your treatment and curtail services;

Why are relationships so complicated and painful? In part, it's because we pick partners based on unconscious beliefs and patterns. We also tend to project the parts of ourselves that we don't like onto our partners. It's easier to see our partner's flaws than to face our own. Relationships can be the source of the most excruciating emotional pain, but working through that pain can also lead to a more satisfying partnership and healing for each partner.
