Please be advised that if you choose to utilize your health insurance benefits to cover psychotherapy services, your insurance provider requires that I diagnose a specific mental health disorder based on your symptoms to justify the medical necessity of treatment. This diagnosis will become a permanent part of your clinical and insurance record. If you have concerns about a diagnostic label or the privacy of your clinical information, I offer a private-pay option that does not require a formal diagnosis or the submission of clinical records to a third party. We can discuss which approach feels most comfortable for you at any time.
